“ I am sure my fellow-scientists will agree with me if I say that whatever we were able to achieve in our later years had its origin in the experiences of our youth and in the hopes and wishes which were formed before and during our time as students. ”
- Felix Bloch
More about my lab at the group website HERE.

My primary research is centered around photo-induced magnetic responses, photo-catalysis, optical-vortex pattern formation, and photo-induced self-assembly. I am also interested in the complex photo-induced energetics of nanofluids.

This research aids the design and development of next-generation solar cells, organic electronics, and energy-harvesting technologies, and is moreover applicable to the "bottom-up" synthesis of nanomaterials. Our studies are also relevant to the soft-matter nonequilibrium nucleation dynamics that are observed in a wide range of phenomena, not limited to physics.
